2018 Campaign<\/h1>\n

This year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s FPW campaign, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d works to educate people about three basic but essential steps to take to reduce the likelihood of having a fire\u00e2\u20ac\u201c\u00e2\u20ac\u201cand how to escape safely in the event of one:<\/p>\n

LOOK
\n<\/strong>Look for places fire could start.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Take a good look around your home. Identify potential fire hazards and take care of them.<\/p>\n

LISTEN
\n<\/strong>Listen for the sound of the smoke alarm.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0You could have only minutes to escape safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Go to your outside meeting place, which should be a safe distance from the home and where everyone should know to meet.<\/p>\n

LEARN
\n<\/strong>Learn two ways out of every room<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and make sure all doors and windows leading outside open easily and are free of clutter.<\/p>\n

Also, Sparky the Fire Dog\u00c2\u00ae has a new friend, Simon, who is helping teach this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s FPW messages \u00e2\u20ac\u201c He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a smart, resourceful character who will join Sparky in spreading fire-safety messages to adults and children alike.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
